The Arizona Diamondbacks found another dramatic way to win Thursday night at Chase Field.

In a low-scoring battle dominated by pitching, Corbin Carroll delivered in the biggest moment of the game, lining a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Diamondbacks a thrilling 2-1 victory over the Colorado Rockies on May 21st, 2026.

For Arizona, it marked their second walk-off victory in three games and extended their winning streak to five straight as the club continues building momentum in the National League West race.

Corbin Carroll Comes Through in the Clutch
When the Diamondbacks needed a hero late, Corbin Carroll answered.

After Colorado reliever Juan Mejia struggled with command and issued two costly walks in the ninth inning, Gabriel Moreno came around to score when Carroll ripped a two-out single into right field to send the Chase Field crowd home happy.

Carroll was responsible for every Arizona run in the game.

Earlier in the sixth inning, he helped break a scoreless tie with an RBI fielder’s choice that gave the Diamondbacks their first lead of the night.

The Diamondbacks superstar once again proved why he remains one of the most dangerous young players in Major League Baseball. His speed, ability to create pressure, and knack for delivering in big situations continue to fuel Arizona’s offense during close games.

Eduardo Rodriguez Dominates on the Mound
While Carroll delivered the headlines offensively, veteran left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez quietly turned in one of his best performances of the season.

Rodriguez tossed seven shutout innings against Colorado, allowing just four hits while striking out four batters. He consistently worked ahead in counts and kept Rockies hitters off balance all night long.

One of the biggest defensive moments came in the fifth inning when Rodriguez picked off Ezequiel Tovar at home plate to erase a potential scoring opportunity for Colorado.

Neither team scored through the first five innings as both Rodriguez and Agnos controlled the pace.
