Austin Hill Earns First Talladega Victory in Thrilling Ag-Pro 300 Finish

The NASCAR Xfinity Series delivered yet another high-speed drama at Talladega Superspeedway in the Ag-Pro 300, where Austin Hill finally captured his elusive first career win at the famed track. In a race filled with dominant performances, lead changes, multi-car crashes, and a chaotic final lap, Hill secured his place in the history books.

Jesse Love and Austin Hill led the field to the green flag, with Love quickly taking command and setting the tone for the day. Backed by his teammate Austin Hill, Love pulled away and dominated the early stages.
Stage 1: Jesse Love's First Stage Win of the Season
Jesse Love made a statement early, leading every lap of Stage 1 to claim his first stage win of 2024 and the fifth of his career. The Top 10 for Stage 1 included:

Following pit stops, Jesse Love maintained his advantage heading into Stage 2.
Stage 2: Austin Hill Fires Back
As Stage 2 kicked off, Nicholas Sanchez briefly grabbed the lead before Jesse Love surged back to the front. However, it was Austin Hill who would ultimately take control, winning Stage 2 and positioning himself for a shot at Talladega glory.

Another strong pit stop from Jesse Love put him back at the front to start the final stage.
Stage 3: Chaos Unfolds at Talladega
The final stage was a wild ride featuring multiple lead changes, pit strategies, and a series of dramatic cautions.
- Green flag pit stops with 45 laps to go saw Jesse Love and Austin Hill hit pit road first.
- Caution with 35 to go: Contact between Jeb Burton and Sammy Smith triggered a crash involving Ryan Sieg and Greg Van Alst. Sieg suffered major damage and was done for the day.
Restart with 28 to go: Brandon Jones and Sheldon Creed led the field back to green.
- Jones and Creed swapped the lead several times before Jesse Love, Connor Zilisch, and Austin Hill entered the battle.
Final Laps: Austin Hill Seals the Deal
On the restart with six laps remaining, Austin Hill and Connor Zilisch fought for the top spot. Zilisch briefly gained control, but a final lap crash involving Zilisch opened the door for a three-wide photo finish.
When the dust settled, Austin Hill was declared the winner, finally earning his first career win at Talladega. It also marked his ninth career win on a drafting track, the most in NASCAR Xfinity Series history.
