The Arizona Diamondbacks came into Wednesday night looking to snap a two-game skid—and they did it in emphatic fashion. Behind a monster performance from Ildemaro Vargas and a relentless offensive attack, Arizona powered past the Chicago White Sox 11-7 at Chase Field to even the series at one game apiece.

The White Sox didn’t go quietly.

Chicago chipped away with solo home runs from Miguel Vargas and Colson Montgomery, cutting the deficit to 6-4.
But Arizona answered every time.

A balk in the fourth inning brought home Corbin Carroll, followed by an RBI single from Arenado to extend the lead to 8-4.

Even when Chicago made another push—highlighted by a towering 451-foot two-run blast from Munetaka Murakami in the seventh—the Diamondbacks responded immediately.

Geraldo Perdomo delivered an RBI triple in the bottom half of that inning to stretch the lead to 11-7 and slam the door on any comeback hopes.

Arenado Adds Power, Offense Dominates
While Vargas stole the spotlight, he wasn’t alone.

Nolan Arenado added a two-run homer in the sixth inning, finishing a strong night at the plate and helping Arizona reach double-digit runs.

Rodriguez Settles In, Bullpen Holds
After the rocky first inning, Eduardo Rodriguez settled down enough to earn the win, improving to 2-0 on the season.
The bullpen did its job down the stretch, with Paul Sewald closing things out in the ninth despite some late traffic on the bases.

More importantly, it sets up a decisive rubber match on Thursday afternoon at Chase Field.
