Justin Allgaier added another Music City trophy to his collection Saturday night, winning the Sports Illustrated Resorts 250 at Nashville Superspeedway in a hard-fought NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series battle on May 30, 2026.

This was not a wire-to-wire runaway. It was a veteran-versus-rookie showdown that came down to traffic, timing, clean air, and one final charge from one of the most accomplished drivers in the series.

Allgaier, driving the No. 7 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports, held off 18-year-old Brent Crews to earn his fourth victory of the 2026 season and the 32nd win of his O'Reilly Auto Parts Series career. The win also marked Allgaier's third career victory at Nashville Superspeedway, further proving how strong he is on the 1.33-mile concrete oval.

The final margin of victory was 1.403 seconds.

Brent Crews Nearly Steals the Show
While Allgaier left Nashville with the trophy, Crews delivered one of the biggest performances of the night. Starting 33rd, the Joe Gibbs Motorsports rookie drove through the field and put himself in position to challenge for his first career series victory.

Crews led 45 laps and looked like he had a real shot to score a breakthrough win before Allgaier closed the gap late in the race. The two battled side-by-side in the closing laps, with Allgaier finally clearing Crews for the lead with roughly 15 to 20 laps remaining.

Crews finished second, matching the best finish of his young career and leaving Nashville with a major statement performance.

Jesse Love Dominates Early Before Trouble Hits
Jesse Love started from the pole after qualifying was canceled due to rain and the lineup was set by the rule book. Love controlled the early portion of the race, leading every lap of Stage 1 and building a sizable advantage over the field.

Love led a race-high 87 laps and appeared to be one of the strongest cars in the race. However, his night changed during the final stage when he reported a possible loose wheel. The issue forced him to pit while running near the front, costing him track position and taking him out of contention for the win.

Love eventually finished 16th after what had looked like a potential race-winning night.

Allgaier Wins Stage 2 and Takes Over Late
Allgaier's path to Victory Lane was built on patience and execution. He started 17th and steadily worked his way forward. By the middle portion of the race, he was trading the lead with Love and positioning himself as one of the top contenders.

Allgaier won Stage 2, giving him his sixth stage win of the 2026 season. Even after a pit-road issue dropped him several spots during the race, he recovered and kept himself within striking distance.

The turning point came during the final green-flag pit cycle. Crews cycled to the lead, but lapped traffic allowed Allgaier to close the gap. Once Allgaier reached Crews, the two put on one of the best battles of the race, trading lanes and racing door-to-door for the lead.

Allgaier finally cleared Crews and pulled away over the final laps to secure the win.

Nashville Race Results: Top 10
Justin Allgaier won the Sports Illustrated Resorts 250, followed by Brent Crews in second and William Sawalich in third. Sam Mayer finished fourth, Brandon Jones rounded out the top five, and Corey Day, Carson Kvapil, Kyle Larson, Taylor Gray, and Sammy Smith completed the top 10.

Race Fast Facts
The Sports Illustrated Resorts 250 was Race 16 of the 2026 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series season. The race covered 188 laps and 250.04 miles at Nashville Superspeedway. There were 12 lead changes among seven drivers and two cautions for 15 caution laps. The average speed was 132.452 mph.

Allgaier earned 74 points on the night, led 50 laps, and posted the fastest lap of the race at 30.839 seconds.

What the Win Means for the Championship
This victory strengthened Allgaier's grip on the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series championship race. After Nashville, Allgaier held a 179-point lead over Jesse Love in the standings.

More importantly, the win reinforced Allgaier's status as the driver to beat in 2026. With four victories, 13 top-10 finishes, and another Nashville guitar trophy, Allgaier continues to stack up the kind of results that define championship seasons.

For JR Motorsports, Nashville was another statement night. For Brent Crews, it was a near-miss that showed a first win may not be far away. For Jesse Love, it was a dominant run undone by late trouble.

But for Justin Allgaier, it was another reminder that when the race is on the line, the veteran still knows how to close.
