The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series made its long-awaited return to Dover Motor Speedway on May 15th, 2026, and by the end of the night, it felt like vintage Kyle Busch all over again.

Under the lights at the legendary “Monster Mile,” Busch delivered one of the most dominant performances of the 2026 NASCAR Truck Series season, completely dismantling the field in the ECOSAVE 200 at Dover Motor Speedway. Driving the No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet, Busch started from the pole, swept both stages, led an astonishing 174 of 200 laps, and cruised to his record fifth Truck Series victory at Dover.

The win marked Busch’s 69th career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series victory and his second Truck Series win of the 2026 season. It also added another chapter to his incredible history at Dover, one of NASCAR’s toughest and most physically demanding tracks.

Kyle Busch Owns the Monster Mile Again
From the moment the green flag dropped, nobody had anything for Kyle Busch.

Busch immediately jumped out front from the pole and controlled the pace throughout the race with long-run speed that the rest of the field simply could not match. On Dover’s brutal concrete surface, Busch navigated traffic flawlessly, maintained tire wear, and repeatedly built multi-second leads during green-flag runs.

By the halfway point, the race had turned into a clinic.

The veteran NASCAR star swept Stage 1 and Stage 2, collecting maximum bonus points while showing exactly why Dover has historically been one of his best tracks.

As the laps wound down, Ty Majeski emerged as the only driver capable of staying remotely close to Busch, but even he could not challenge for the win during the closing run.

Busch crossed the finish line 3.039 seconds ahead of Majeski after 200 grueling laps around the one-mile concrete oval.

Layne Riggs continued his breakout 2026 season with another podium finish, while Kaden Honeycutt backed up his recent Watkins Glen victory with a strong fourth-place run.

Christopher Bell also made the most of his Truck Series appearance, quietly bringing home a top-five finish in the No. 62 Toyota.

Ty Majeski Delivers Strong Championship Run
While Busch stole the spotlight, Ty Majeski may have left Dover feeling like one of the biggest winners among full-time championship contenders.

Majeski stayed consistent all night, avoided mistakes, and positioned himself for a runner-up finish at one of NASCAR’s most difficult tracks. The ThorSport Racing driver showed excellent long-run pace and continued building momentum as the Truck Series season heads deeper into the summer schedule.

The second-place finish also marked Majeski’s first career top-10 finish at Dover Motor Speedway.

Dover Punishes the Field
As expected, Dover’s demanding concrete surface created problems throughout the race.

“The Monster Mile” once again lived up to its reputation with drivers fighting loose conditions, heavy tire falloff, and difficult traffic situations all evening long.

Several drivers saw promising runs ruined by incidents or mechanical issues.

Carson Hocevar, one of the favorites entering the race after his recent Texas victory, saw his night end early after getting caught up in trouble late in the event. Cole Butcher also showed race-winning speed early before issues derailed his night.

NASCAR Truck Series Returns to Dover
The 2026 ECOSAVE 200 marked the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series’ first race at Dover since 2020. NASCAR re-added the event to the schedule as part of broader changes to the 2026 calendar, and the return immediately reminded fans why Dover remains one of the most iconic venues in stock car racing.

The steep banking, narrow grooves, and unforgiving concrete surface challenged drivers from the opening lap to the checkered flag.

For veterans like Kyle Busch, it was another opportunity to showcase experience and race management. For younger drivers, it was a brutal learning experience at one of NASCAR’s toughest tracks.

What This Win Means for Kyle Busch
Even in 2026, Kyle Busch continues proving why he remains one of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history.
With his 69th career Truck Series win, Busch further extended his all-time record in the series and once again demonstrated that when he enters a Truck race, he instantly becomes the favorite.

The win also continued Spire Motorsports’ strong Truck Series program, showing the organization can consistently compete for victories whenever Busch gets behind the wheel.

Most importantly, Busch reminded the entire NASCAR garage of a simple reality:
