BRISTOL, TN — In one of the most commanding performances we’ve seen in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season, Kyle Larson put on a short track clinic, leading a jaw-dropping 277 of 300 laps to take the checkered flag in the SciAps 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Pole Sitter Kyle Larson took control early, launching from the green flag ahead of rookie Connor Zilisch. A Lap 4 caution brought the first hiccup after Harrison Burton had a tire issue and Mason Maggi headed to the garage.

Larson would continue to flex his horsepower on restarts, maintaining the lead while Justin Allgaier climbed into the mix. A key moment came just before the end of Stage 1, when Sheldon Creed spun after contact from Dean Thompson, collecting Brennan Poole and forcing a red flag for cleanup.

During the ensuing caution, top drivers like Larson, Allgaier, and Zilisch hit pit road. Sam Mayer and Ryan Sieg gambled on track position, with Mayer ultimately winning Stage 1 — his first since August.

Stage 2 saw Larson return to the front, relentlessly leading lap after lap. He finished the stage in control, ahead of Allgaier, Smith, Kvapil, and Zilisch. After pit stops, Larson again emerged first, and restarted the final stage alongside Allgaier.

With 120 laps to go, Allgaier surged into the lead from the inside — a move that earned him a record-setting ninth consecutive race leading at Bristol. But Larson wasn’t done. With 110 to go, he gave Allgaier a slight bump and reclaimed the lead for good.

Another caution came at Lap 215 after Mason Massey spun. The ensuing wreck collected William Sawalich and Connor Zilisch, shaking up the top 10 once again.

Larson fended off Allgaier on the restart and never looked back, taking the checkered flag in dominating fashion.
