[Daytona, FL]  The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series took to Daytona International Speedway on Friday Night, and was indeed flipped upside down!  On the final lap of the race, the #71 of Rajah Caruth slid up the track coming out of turn two.  He collided with the #91 of Jack Wood, and sent him into the #17 of Taylor Gray.  Gray's truck then spun head-on into the Daniel Dye in the outside lane, which sent the #17 airborne.  The truck would roll in the air, and yet somehow come down on all fours on the track before being collected among the rest of the dozen trucks caught up in the last-lap wreck.  

As a fan watching on television, you had to know this moment was coming.  The race had already been through 11 cautions, including the first one which occurred just six laps in and caused damage to multiple trucks, and ended the night early for the #46 of Thad Moffitt, the #35 of Ty Dillon, and the #13 of Jake Garcia.  

But you could tell that the track was slick based on how the trucks were handling, and also watching the in-truck cameras provided by NASCAR.  Pair that with the fact that trucks really don't perform well on SuperSpeedways given the lack of force to hold them down at high speeds.  It didn't take much to get them wiggling around even lined up two by two. 

In the end, the victor of the Stay Fresh Florida 250 was Nick Sanchez (in the No.  2 Chevy), who coincidently was also part of the early wreck on lap 6, but got away with minimal damage and worked his way back up for his first career win.  

Only 18 of the 36 trucks that started the race finished on the final lap.  The #3 of Corey Heim came in second, followed by Rajah Caruth (#71), Bret Holmes (#32), and Spencer Boyd (#76) to round out the top five.  

The Craftsman Truck Series will load up and head to Atlanta Motor Speedway for Saturday's "Fr8 208" which kicks off about 2:00PM EST.  You can watch the race on FS1.
