Anthony Alfredo also enjoyed a strong performance. After winning Stage 1, Alfredo remained competitive throughout the afternoon before ultimately finishing fourth.

Austin Hill rounded out the top five after another steady points day.

Although Sonoma often creates opportunities for fuel mileage drama and varying pit strategies, Saturday's race largely became a showcase of execution.

Van Gisbergen and crew chief perfectly timed their pit stops while avoiding mistakes on pit road.
