The Arizona Cardinals are entering the 2025 NFL preseason with a new energy. A healthy Kyler Murray, a breakout star in Trey McBride, and a rising sophomore in Marvin Harrison Jr. headline a team ready to turn the corner.
Whether you're a lifelong fan or a fantasy football junkie, these are the 10 players you absolutely need to watch this preseason—ranked by projected impact, talent, and storylines worth following.
🔟 PRESEASON POWER RANKINGS
1. Trey McBride (TE)
The new centerpiece of the offense. After a 1,000-yard season, McBride is now the highest-paid tight end in the NFL. He’s Kyler’s top target and the most reliable weapon on the roster.
2. Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR)
Expect a second-year leap. MHJ brings elite hands, advanced route running, and WR1 presence. He could be the biggest star in Glendale since Larry Fitzgerald.
3. Kyler Murray (QB)
No more injuries. No more excuses. With a solid offensive line and elite weapons, Murray needs to deliver—and preseason will show how dialed in he is.
4. Josh Sweat (DE/EDGE)
A massive free agent signing. Sweat comes over from Philly ready to anchor the pass rush. He knows Gannon’s system and should bring instant impact.
5. Budda Baker (S)
Still the heart of the defense. A 7-time Pro Bowler who flies to the football, leads vocally, and commands respect. Watch him mentor the young DBs and lead by example.
6. Paris Johnson Jr. (LT)
The cornerstone of the offensive line. He’s made big strides and now protects Murray’s blindside. A breakout season is brewing.
7. Calais Campbell (DE)
The homecoming story of the year. The 38-year-old is back where it all began. He’s still productive and will be key in setting a culture on defense.
8. Walter Nolen (DL - Rookie)
First-round pick. SEC monster. He’s 6’4”, 325 lbs, and violent off the line. If he pops early, Arizona’s D-line becomes legit.
9. BJ Ojulari (OLB/EDGE)
Back from injury and ready to prove himself. Ojulari’s rookie flashes showed potential. If he builds chemistry with Sweat, the pass rush could be deadly.
10. Evan Brown (LG)
Unheralded but vital. Brown quietly started all 17 games last year and helped solidify the interior. His chemistry with the rest of the line is key to keeping Kyler upright.
