Although he ultimately received a no-decision because of the bullpen collapse, this outing further reinforced that Pfaadt has become one of the Diamondbacks' biggest second-half success stories.

If Arizona is going to make a serious playoff push over the final two months, they'll need more performances exactly like this.

Arizona's Offense Delivered Early

Unlike Monday night's loss, the Diamondbacks wasted no time getting on the scoreboard.

Arizona manufactured its first run in the opening inning when Gabriel Moreno grounded out to score Geraldo Perdomo.

The offense never let up.

Runs continued to come across in the second inning, the third, the fourth, and again in the sixth as Arizona steadily built what appeared to be a safe 6-0 cushion.

McCann collected four hits throughout the evening, constantly putting pressure on Pittsburgh's defense before ultimately delivering the game-winning RBI in the 12th inning.

Veteran Nolan Arenado also continued his recent hot streak with three hits, providing another steady presence in the middle of Arizona's lineup.

It was exactly the type of balanced offensive attack manager Torey Lovullo hopes to see during the stretch run.
